On the 21st May, Will and Riley volunteered at one of the standout events in the local calendar, the annual Clay Shoot at Berkeley Castle.
Set within the beautiful deer park, the day brought together local businesses and organisations for a relaxed mix of clay shooting, conversation, and plenty of laughter (with a few missed shots along the way!). It’s one of those events that strikes the right balance, giving people the chance to connect while doing something a little different.
Behind the day is an important cause. The charity supports individuals affected by substance use and complex challenges such as trauma, domestic abuse and involvement in the justice system. Each year they work with around 5,000 people across the South West and Wales, offering a more joined-up, person-focused approach to recovery through residential homes, women’s centres and community-based programmes.
At the heart of everything they do is helping people rebuild confidence, develop lifelong skills and find their way back into their communities.
Events like this are a great reminder of the strength of the local community, bringing people together, supporting good causes, and creating moments that go beyond the day-to-day.
Will and Riley were proud to be part of it and support such a well-established and much-loved event.
