Shine Night Walk for Cancer Research UK!

On 21 September 2024 Victoria and Lucy, alongside 12,000 others, took on the Shine Night Walk for Cancer Research UK!

They walked an impressive 26.2 miles around London through the night. As you can see from the pictures, the weather was not on their side. The final 6 miles were done in very heavy rain! They completed it in just over 8 hours and raised an important £1061.25 for Cancer Research UK.

Nearly 1 in 2 people born in the UK after 1960 will get cancer in their lifetime.* Cancer Research UK's research helps save lives. Over the last 50 years Cancer Research UK's work has helped double breast cancer survival, they were a key player in the development of radiotherapy, and they played a role in developing 8 of the world's top 10 cancer drugs.
